Lush Florals in Ivory and Blush

When I first started flowering, I remember scrolling through the pages of the Elizabeth Anne Designs blog, just studying the beautiful featured arrangements. Last month, it felt so cool to be able to scroll through and see my own flowers! I really enjoyed flowering this sweet shoot inspired by an intimate bridal brunch. Thank you for the feature and the super talented team that brought it all together!

DC War Memorial

This wedding might be my favorite design of 2016. The ceremony took place right on the National Mall at the DC War Memorial with a rooftop reception at Old Ebbitt Grill. The ceremony urns were huge (taller than me) and so much fun to make and perfect against the DC War Memorial (which totally dwarfed them). The less fun part was hauling them all through the city - parking was an issue!  I absolutely loved designing A's wedding bouquet, which included rich shades of fuchsia, blush, and ivory and ample foraged foliage. I particularly loved the hanging amaranthus and fuchsia dahlias. Looking through these pictures makes me swoon over A and M's sweetness. I love the the way they look at each other and was honored to be a part of their wedding day. As seen on Style Me Pretty.

Silver Swan, Bayside

The venue, the lighting, the shore, the dress - it was ALL perfection on this gorgeous October day. Amelia's wedding was so much fun to flower because her vision was so lush, airy and just plain beautiful. We went wild with a floral arch and mantel installation complete with garden roses, dahlias, hydrangeas and foraged greenery. I was blown away when I saw the photos by Liz Fogarty who captured the love and beauty of the day perfectly. Featured on Style Me Pretty.

Blush Autumn Wedding at Shadow Creek

It's always fun to return to a venue that we have flowered before. Familiarity with the space allows my imagination to run wild during the planning process. We loved filling the barn at Shadow Creek with lush greenery garlands, trailing votives, and blush dahlias. Alex's dress was stunning and she looked absolutely radiant. A perfect sunset capped off a beautiful ceremony.

Lavender & Eucalyptus at Dumbarton House

Cassie and Arvin's wedding this past October took place on one of the windiest days of the year. Luckily, their ceremony and reception were indoors, but even their outdoor cocktail hour was barely impacted, because the bridal party and groomsmen were having such a blast.  Dumbarton House, with its history and architecture, nestled in Georgetown was the perfect venue to dress in lush lavender and moss, floating candles, and dramatic raised centerpieces. The day was drenched in love and jubilation, captured perfectly by Sam Stroud Photography.
